We're pleased to be part of the announcement that WA Tourism's major events branch - Eventscorp - will support Revelation for the next three years via a major funding investment annually.
Designed to encourage international exposure and the attracting of national and international guests, the investment cements Revelation as a key cultural event on the local and national calendar and will assist in taking the Rev spirit to international audiences.
"The Rev team are over the moon with this commitment" said Richard Sowada, Revelation founder and Chairman. "All of us involved with the event are looking forward to the capability that this investment will provide in expanding our scope and brining not just the most unique films in the world to WA but the most unique people".
Revelation brings to WA new and archival signature driven cinema from around the globe - often for their only Australian screenings.
Drawn directly from the contemporary international film festival scene, in recent years Revelation has presented international award-winning films the caliber of Dogtooth, American: The Bills Story, Tyrannosaur, Fire in Babylon, Meeks Cutoff and and over 100 individual titles annually. Guests have included Oscar winning Producers and Directors, screen artists, international musicians, distributors, screen support agency representatives, leading academics and practitioners from all areas of film craft.
This commitment from Eventscorp allows the event to expand on this scope and scale and to deliver to Western Australian audiences a wholly individual program and over 45 national and international guests annually.
