In 1984, legendary group The Triffids played at Paddington Town Hall, Sydney, showcasing a handful of classic songs. Over the next few months the band moved to London and hit the global stage, but at this gig, before an Australian audience, The Triffids truly shone.
Director Megan Simpson Huberman was a student at AFTRS who directed the film with a complete camera team and sound crew. The resulting movie captures one of Australia's great bands in top form.
This will be the first public screening of this long 'lost 'document of a truly great band.
Very special thanks to AFTRS, Megan Simpson Huberman, The Triffids and Bleddyn Butcher for all their help in making this screening possible.
Megan Simpson Huberman will be introducing the film and doing a post screening Q&A.
