A squad of corrupt cops out for brutal revenge head to a high-rise block in suburban Paris to tackle a criminal gang on their own turf. The cops don't expect much trouble but things go awry - not only are the equally violent gangsters heavily armed, but, partway through the evening, the world appears to end and the zombie hoards start taking over. Trapped in the tower-block, the gangs of battling cops and gangsters also have to face growing legions of the monstrous undead.
Outrageously violent, blood splattered, and fast paced, La Horde doesn't let up from its opening reel to the finale. The emphasis here is on action and mayhem and there's some great set pieces for zombie fans and action buffs alike. Unlike a lot of other recent zombie movies there's no gags here, just blood, guns and death. One for the fans!
