Still one of the most revered bands of the sixties, The Doors are both familiar and yet strangely enigmatic. Despite the overwhelming glare of the California sun and the psychedelic Summer of Love, the Doors had different yearnings, carving out their own dark, apocalyptic niche that was utterly unique. Unlike anything you've seen about the band before, When You're Strange tells the story of The Doors using a wealth of restored archive material much of which has never been seen, moving from Ray Manzarek's student films through to some truly incredible live footage of Jim Morrison in full on cop-baiting, swaggering and cocksure Jimbo mode.
Narrated by Johnny Depp, this documentary paints a new take on the band, their lives and the creative processes that created their definitive sound.
